Hey there, I went back to Route 9 and he's gone still. I did talk to him on Route 9 after battling him in Viridian before I made this post. He said I didn't choose Pikachu as a starter, which I did, and that I couldn't help him then disappeared. I am pretty confused as I chose Pikachu so I could do the quest.

Thanks for your reply, that wasn't directed at a real person. The bug isn't a big deal to me. I meant no offense whatsoever, least of all to the people I'm asking for help from. Anyways, I finally returned to where I think he originally was and I don't see him anywhere. 😔

Hey there, I just started this game yesterday and have been really enjoying it. I'm a huge Yellow fan so I wanted to pick Pikachu as my started and get Ash's hat. I defeated him in Viridian Forest. Progressed to Route 9 today and happened to find him near the top. I had my starter Pikachu in the 2nd slot. When I talked to Ash he said something along the lines of remembering the battle in the Forest and then told me that I couldn't help him because I didn't choose Pikachu as my starter... Bro straight up lied to my face. And then disappeared without a trace... Is this a disappointing bug? I swapped Pikachu to the first slot in hopes that I could talk to him again and call him on his BS but he is just gone now. Appreciate your time.
