Anybody like the new avatar and signature? Engineer

Although it would be great to have players stay active every day, which will probably happen considering how awesome this game is turning out, I don't think giving them Pokemoney is helpful. Some players may abuse it. Example, player 1 logs in 100 days in a row, gets the "bonus" everyday, and has a lot of money without even actually playing. Whereas player 2 plays everyday and grinds it out hunting and training, and still gets the same bonus as player 1. I think putting in a bunch of hours and having the ability to catch extremely rare Pokemon is the best reward, which will encourage players tp actually play the game instead of just logging in. Hello all, Are there any players out there with their main goal for this game is completing the Pokedex? Engineer

Re: NPC errors <t>Red, Bulbasaur was learning both sleep powder and poison powder at I believe level 14. It appeared to be working correctly, he learned them both. Arnie said the "lol" thing was just an inside joke from the staff. It may have been from beating Brock, as the events of beating Brock and Bulbasaur learning these moves happened simultaneously. <br/> <br/> Arnie, just out of curiosity, how does the $ sign hide the levels of the Pokemon in Battle, as opposed to the NPC title stating Brock?<br/> <br/> Thanks,<br/> Engineer</t>

Re: NPC errors <t>Brock has a ($) sign above his head in the Pewter Gym and also while battling him, it says Engineer vs. .... and then it is blank<br/> On another note, after defeating Brock, and while my Bulbasaur was learning two moves at once, a weird popup that said "lol" came up and it had a weird looking face on it. It covered nearly all of the screen. I do not have a screen shot.</t>

It has been changed back to the original song! Thank you so much! Like I said, if I am doing something else besides playing PRO, I play the music in the background

The move re-learner surely would be useful, no doubt. I would be okay with it if it costs a lot of Pokemoney to do. I am old school on this because I always caught the Pokemon at low level and picked the moveset I want as I raised them.
-
When I said sub-par I was referring to how PWO allowed players to revert back to any moves the Pokemon already had. I don't appreciate the claim that I have no idea about competitive battling. I like the idea of having to work for a particular moveset instead of buying a lv 100 Pokemon from another trainer and then editing the moves to the way you want it. I think players should have to catch that Pokemon themselves and train it up with hard work. That's my opinion on that Engineer

Announcing players achievements may overflow the chat window and/or may expose the player to allowing other players to see what Pokemon they caught or how far along they are in the game. If I catch a shiny Pokemon, I don't want the whole player community to know because maybe everyone would be messaging you to trade it. Then again, you mentioned there could be an off switch for this, so that would protect the player. In general, this would cause more lines of code for the system to run through and may create a phase shift in the system response, which creates lag in the gameplay experience.

Not having a move re-learner NPC will force players to catch the Pokemon they want and teach them the moves they want instead of trading for a lv 100 Pokemon and being able to edit their moves. Also, the early gen handheld games never had move relearners. A move re-learner seems like an idea that sub-par Pokemon MMO games use.

Sargent Rick gives you an Eevee as a way to get into the Rocket Hideout. However, if you have 6 Pokemon in your party before talking to him, you do not receive an Eevee. How about changing the code to either send the Eevee to the PC or have Rick say "Oh, you don't have room in your party for this Eevee. Make room and come back to me." Also, the guy at the front of the stairs in the Rocket hideout thinks you have an Eevee after you talk to Rick, even if you actually don't have one in your party. Please address. Thanks, Engineer

I like the idea of making it very difficult to progress in the game. Makes the player train and work hard to keep advancing.

I want to be able to leave S.S. Anne without the Usher asking me if I would like to go to my room. Thanks, Engineer

I have a topic in the "Trades" section which lists all the Pokemon I will be buying and selling. The list will be constantly updated.

I noticed the music for the log in screen has recently changed. I really enjoyed the last one that was used. I actually kept the login screen open and ran other programs because that is how good the music was. Just sharing my thoughts. Sincerely, Engineer

Just added my avatar, it fits my name nicely

Okay, excellent. Like I said, that feature for evolution information would be very useful. The way the game is set up right now with item description and ability description, I may never need to look anything up.
-
Super effective sound effect during battle would be really nice, use similar sound from the handheld games. :x89:
-
First off, great job on the Pokedx thus far. I think there should be a spot to show the evolution chain and how that Pokemon evolves. It would be nice, especially for the newer generations, so I know the evolution chain and when/how they evolve.
-
Yes, please make it possible to get all the fossil Pokemon, not just one. That way they won't be overpriced for someone trying to complete the Pokedex.
-
In the handhelds, the HP that you gained from leveling up are added to your active HP, but PP never got restored from leveling up.
-
I am really excited that some/all of the Gen 1 starters will be catchable in game, because now I won't have to dish out a lot of Pokemoney just to get the other two that I don't pick. I don't care if I spend days searching for them in the wild, just the fact that they are out there is a relief.
-
I suggested a few months ago to put the Pokeball next to a wild Pokemon which indicated you have caught that Pokemon previously. Today I was battling an NPC and the trainer's Caterpie had a Pokeball next to it. I did catch Caterpie already, so the fact the Pokeball shows up is correct, but is it supposed to show up when battling NPCs? Not sure if this is a bug or not but thought I would mention it. Great job on the game, especially the last few months! Thanks, Engineer

I need to match the sprite from gen 1 with the guy holding tools and a hardhat
