  1. In my opinion you have some valid concerns. The game is still in development, and more content is to come as the beta progresses. One thing that you mentioned jumped out at me in a bad way. I do not think that making the dragon's den a members only zone, or adding additional members only zones, is the way to resolve any issues. Rather, it will divide the playerbase and the advantage gained from donating will border on pay to win. Additionally, I do think you have a good point about rare pokemon. Other than shiny pokemon, most pokemon aren't rare. A solution to this would be to make some pokemon more difficult to obtain. I agree that introducing quests to gain access to premium areas (as in great areas; not members-only areas) is a great idea. Not only will this mean that some pokemon are rarer than others, but it will also generate end-game content for players. The main issue with this would be that players at the endgame have an advantage over new and mid-game players, but I suppose that acts as motivation for players to reach the end game. I just think that the game as a whole is a difficult beast to balance. If pokemon are too rare, players will be unhappy. If there aren't rare pokemon, people will lose motivation. Perhaps these issues could be dealt with by introducing a new feature, similar to digsites but with pokemon traps. Something that can't be grinded, but instead requires long-term dedication and a little bit of luck. I'm interested to read the feedback and suggestions from other players.
  2. I feel that auction houses are damaging to the community because they encourage anti-social behaviour. Instead of engaging with players in the chat you simply list the pokemon and wait for someone to buy it. Also as Pinknblack said, it encourages price wars and monopolization, which is damaging to the overall community. The current system is place is great for encouraging players to be active and interact with one another, but some players are being deceptive. That is what my proposed system aims to achieve, whilst still maintaining this game's strong sense of community. Thanks for the question and replies. I wasn't aware that there is already an AH system in the plans, but I have no doubt that it'll be thought out.
  3. Hi all, So a bunch of us were talking about trading ingame, and somebody suggested that an auction house should be introduced due to people not honouring their pokemon auctions, or lying about the current bid. I believe that an auction house would be overall damaging to the community, and it got me thinking. What would be a way of maintaining the community whilst enhancing the trading system? And then the idea struck me; a pokemon showroom! Before I delve further into my idea, just note that these are very early and preliminary thoughts. There are bound to be flaws in the system that I'm suggesting, and as such I'm welcoming all criticism and feedback. Anyway, so how the pokemon showroom would work is that every so often (I'm thinking ~48 hours would be good) the pokemon showroom will open. Prior to the showroom opening, there will be a way for players to obtain tickets, such as being found on pokemon or in digsites. In order to put a pokemon on show, you must have one of these tickets. These tickets will be trade-able, but they will be limited to a value of ~5 per showroom event. Prior to the showroom event starting, the players with these tickets may select their desired pokemon to be put on show. Once the pokemon is selected, the player is not able to withdraw it from the event. Other players may go to a public viewing area of the pokemon which will remain open for ~12 hours, where you will then be able to place a bid on the pokemon of your choice. Once the event ends, the highest bidder will receive the pokemon they won the bid on, and the player who submitted the pokemon will receive 90% of the bid (this will help combat players from having their friends boost the price). In the event that a ticket is obtained but a pokemon is not submitted, the ticket will crumble into dust once the event starts. My logic behind this system is that the pokemon showroom tickets will encourage player-to-player interaction through buying/selling tickets, as well as offering players with outstanding pokemon to be able to sell their pokemon, all the whilst ensuring that the buyer is not mislead in this transaction. The overall process is also highly social by having all players gather in an area if they are wanting to participate in the showroom. As I said earlier that these were very early thoughts, and I'm interested to see what others think about this or a similar system. Thanks for reading, and please offer any feedback and criticism. :)
  4. Hi all, When the server went down I ended up losing an item which was then replaced by another item. Unfortunately, the item I lost was leftovers :( Anyway, I'm hoping that a mod/admin would be able to restore my leftovers for me? Also, I'll give details on the bug in a private message to staff, simply so I don't advertise it out here for others to abuse. Thanks. :)
  5. Hi all, I'm trying to log in but I keep getting this error. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks.
