I think this already is the best one (said by the one who played literally every pkmn mmo game).

Couple days ago from day to night I downloaded the game 3 times because it was out of date, in this case this suggestion is a need. Maybe u missed this event :D I downloaded it twice. The first time there was an announcement on the left column, the second time was about the new server, but as I said, and I am here from almost a year, it is an exceptional case. Btw, different opinions :)

Maybe... But I think this is pointless because the client always tells you when the version is out of date. Btw what I think it is a problem is that, in case of queue, you need to reach the end of the queue to realize the version is out of date, because the game itself does not advise you in advance. In addition, most of the times there is an official update link in the left column on the login screen of the client which tells you wheter an update is available. (The situation you mentioned about the new hardware of the red server is just an exceptional case). So I don't think this is very necessary.
