I had a friend tested it with me. He sleep spore Milotic and marvel scale did not proc. I'm not sure for the other status

Nono. When you use rest, you are inflicted with a Sleep status. B/c you are inflicted with a status, your defense should technically go up. I'm not sure whether if sleep is the only status that causes it to not work. Did not test for paralysis or burn etc

However, using Rest inflicts sleep which is a status problem so, shouldn't it boosts her defense?

I tried using the sleeptalk set on Milotic where you rest and sleeptalk as your primary moves. It's suppose to synergize with the ability Marvel Scale (in theory) to get an increase in Defense. I use rest and Marvel Scale does not activate. Is there a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Ah, so Greninja can't learn Dark Pulse in this game? D=

In other games, Greninja was able to learn Dark Pulse. I went to the Lavridge Town Pokemart to teach Greninja Dark Pulse. The NPC stated that Greninja cannot learn Dark Pulse. I do not know whether if it's intentional or a bug.
