Keep track of the Pokemon you put to sleep. It's your responsibility to do so. I think you misunderstood, it's not about keeping track. It's when you try to sleep the Pokemon again as you predict it will wake up, but the opponent switches therefore two Pokemon slept.

Hi Guys, Just have a question on the sleep clause in pvp. So basically its stated that you are not allowed to sleep more than one pokemon on the opponent team in a battle. But isnt it quite standard move to use sleep/attack/sleep? If the opponent switches a pokemon after I decide to use sleep again, there will be two pokemon slept... I am pointing this out because I was banned for doing so, accidentally sleeping 2 pokemons on the other team therefore violating the rules. So how can we avoid such accident?
