Top5? you sure? I saw people using leftovers, choice items, sitrus berry, rocky helmet, life orb even assault vest... much more often than sashes nowaday. And this is the first time I heard someone say about using sash to counter stall, u must be very innovative sir. :y: if sash is not consumed, none will bother buying more, most players now can get at least one cuz many BOSS drop sash.
-
In hand hold edition, it takes around 36 or 72 BP to obtain a focus sash, that's alot of time. So the system "recreat" it after a pvp battle. But as I said, if the consumable items is sold unlimitedly for a reasonable price (cheap enough) we can still accept that the item got consumed each battle. Ofc, as a player, I don't want to spend money for each battle, I'll be glad if they follow ur way. But things usually never be that good, we must give something to gain sth... be realistic :Shy:
-
How about having a NPC sell consumable items like: damage reduction berries, damage increasing gems, focus sash and weakness policy at suitable price let say 5k each. So there're still a "sink hole" to consume our money as devs always want  (I know lot of players will hate me for this idea) So even if u lose a ranked battle, u can still appease urself: at least u made ur opponent lose some money. haha

Not sure if this is reported before, I just encountered the issue today: Sand tomb is currently bugged. Instead of trapping opposite pokemon, the pokemon using sand tomb traps itself (It said that the pokemon using the move can not switch out :Frown: .. when the opponent's pokemon can still fled while under the effect of Sand Tomb.. :Ambivalent: ) I know the move is rarely used in ranked or competitive game, but if you have time, please fix it. Was trying sth fun with it.. Thanks you, sir.

Seem like u don't fully understand what I mean to say.. Well, guess we can never win an internet argument  Since discussing is not valid, I think we better make a vote then. Let voting decide the fate of Slowbro. I have try my best to defend it, I would be upset if it was banned. :Frown:

Hydreigon is not mean to counter other dragons.. It got outspeed by Garchomp, Salamence and can't K.O multiscale Dragonite.. In showdown meta, they often use Draco Meteor + life orb/c.specs to break wall by dealing as much neutral damage as possible. w.o Meteor and items, it's not mandatory to use a stabs dragon on Hydeigon since dragon type move won't super effective any.. And the set I listed is NOT some specific set I just invented, it's a reference set on smogon And special tyranitar was pretty successful in my team lately, it's not sand team (it's not like: there're sand storm, we have to use Exca, Ferro.. No) The idea of special Tyr is that: while not hit thing as hard as its physical counterpart, it can bait out its common counters such as Skarmory, Gliscor, Slowbro and 1 hit them, it doesn't care about Wow from Sableyes and deal heavy damage to it w. dark pulse, beat it 1on1 - unlike normal Tyr.. And the reason I used a special Tyr NOT becuz I want to counter Slowbro cores, I just meet one w. good ivs and cheap price (185k full trained  since everyone looking for a adamant one) , and luckily, it works. haha And lastly, for me, hazards is love, hazards is life. Who control hazard will mostly win the game

Hah. banning regenerator not Slowbro huh? seem legit.. OK let ban Gale wings and keep Talonflame free. Regenerator is the reason people use slowbro, before regenerator work, rarely I see slowbro in ranked. Now if u ban regenerator, slowbro definitely disappear on the ladder - becuz people are familiar w. the advantage regenerator bring to them, they can't acept a slowbro that can't gain health when switch out. haha. So I must clear the point for u: Ban regenerator = ban slowbro/Tangrowth/Amonguss.. I myself don't use a Slowbro in ladder - u can ask people. But the idea of banning it is not the right thing to do. For your question: Ofc u can't kill Slowbro immediately if ur opponent keep switching it out and replace it w. special def. (unless u have a shadow tag Gothi ) I will list something that can force it out and deal w. its sp.def partner: [taunt, roost, Fireblast, dark pulse] Hydreigon can handle both Blissey-Slowbro &Slowbro-Ferro pretty well (especally if u can set up toxic spikes); Gengar w. taunt(+wow) can handle most bliss while keep Slowbro off the ground. Magnezone w. or w.o h.p FIRE can trap and kill Ferro while scare away slowbro (u need metal sound in case don't have h.p fire) Special Tyranitar (like mine using last season) can handle Slow-Ferro too, since it can 1hit both of them...mostly. Manetric, Houndoom - well I admit they're rarely seen on ladder, actually can 1hit both slowbro and Ferrothorn. That some I have in mind now.. And in case u don't like all those option, simply set up some hazards which discourage switching. Slowbro may still gain health while switching but its teammate don't, let them suffer.

My opinion is, just ban pkms which normal player can not obtain with EXCEPTION of Mestrepokemon's Suicune (for obvious reason..) The unobtainable pkms either "OP" or not (I haven't faced any to judge them) creates an unfair feeling for other players. And the idea of banning Regenerator Slowbro/Blissey/Ferrothorns or banning cores is ridiculous.. If u can't break the core don't blame the lack of Life Orb, Choice items, blame urself. (or blame gamefreak for creating such an stupid ability - you get rewarded for fled.. haha) Even the obtainable smogon Ubers such as Speedboost Blaziken, Shadow Tag Gothitelle...are still manageable. (and not everyone can obtain a good one, especially pll lazy like me  )

Because of the so called "sink holes".. Simple as that. I thought it was fun, now it costs me 40k/day for this.. still worth it though

Most of my pokemon can't learn Rest via TM44 which are able to learn based on serrebii data.
-
It's a bug, I believe. Just like Hippo/Skar can't learn Whirlwind via TMs but can learn the move via eggmoves tutors.

Charging Staraptor - Staraptor cant charge when rocks are up and starmie pretty much owns in 1 on 1. Offensive Arcanine - Again dies hard to starmie and will-o-wisp and utility set wont harm it. Excadrill at +1 = Yeah this and if it's jolly its gg, i advice to keep your scizor healthy and just superpower on it or stall it if you can. + 1 gya or breloom = nah this team has it covered, breloom only troubles this team by spreading spores so just be careful switching around, gya is covered with starmie ( watch out for crunch) or exca but yeah gyara is a threat. Skar-Bliss, hard-stall = Get yourself a guts fighting type and have fun lol, be careful and get a taunt user for your team if you can and maybe a fairy coverage for sableye. God bless lum berry. Excuse me, sir. I don't think u fully understand what I mean by "handle". My point is what would be a safe switch-in vs those threats. Your opponent - with common sense, won't bring his Staraptor/Arcanine/Breloom.. in when Starmie is on ur side. It means that when Staraptor/Arcanine/Breloom/Gya.. is checking the other pokemon like Tyranitar, Blissey, Scizor.. what will u bring in in that situations. For example: If u have a Skarmory u can safely bring it in vs Gya/Staraptor. If u have a Slowbro u can bring it in vs Gya/Arcanine...even Staraptor. Celebi/Venu/Rose can eat whatever Breloom throws at them - it's called a "Counter" do not mistake it with a "Check". And what is "a gut fighting type" that can breakthrough Skar-Bliss core? Magnezone definitely a bane for a Skarmory (most of the time). Problem is replacing it w/ Scizor leave your team w. 3 pokemon that weak and super weak to common Ground-type attacks and no resist and immu..
-
Just think about it: how would u handle a charging Staraptor, offensive Arcanine or Excadrill even a +1 Gya, Breloom... - there are no safe switch in ur team vs those common threats? How would u break the famous core Skar-Bliss or Arca-Ferro-Slowbro core - a trend now in ranked. Just gathering all top pick pkms doesn't make u a good team.
-
Fireblast w. Adamant nature may seem weak but still can 2hit skarmory which your tyr will unable to do otherwise. Skar is a good partner as well as good counter for any sand team, and should be paid enough attention. You may want to let ur blissey set up SR..

This info made my day.

Don't ever lead w/ a defensive pokemon unless it can set up entry hazard. So NO, that defensive Starmie shouldn't be a leader. And just my opinion, I would love to have a Grass type in sandteam, something like Celebi, Ferrothorn, Venu or Roserade.. I agree, should have change Earthquake to Fireblast, even w/ - nature, Fireblast is the best thing u can count on vs Skarmory/Ferrothorn - otherwise they will be good checks vs ur team (and that 31iv on sp.atk of ur Tyr is too good to be wasted). And I prefer leftovers over smooth rock for Tyranitars since it doesn't have any other recovery method. Showdown meta and PRO meta is two completely different things. I wouldn't bother testing my PRO team there, if I were you. Going to battle channel and type "b100" is easier way to test.
