  1. It is offline for everyone. My guess is that when the website tries to access the server to check for population, it doesn't get an answer back from the server, and never changes the number it is displaying. Pretty sure that if you keep checking, the number will always be the same, for as long as the server is down.
  2. Most likely crashes. It's still a new game, errors are bound to happen, and, without knowing how their server works, I'd say it's still pretty easy for something to go wrong and snowball into crashing the server. It was actually running pretty smooth and lagless today, so that's my best guess.

  4. I just realized that PRO forum's and website's URLs both changed. My history clearly shows that they didn't have the "-online" part, but I couldn't access the forums/website the entire day, even thought it was offline, the main website only shows "pokemonrevolution.net" and nothing else. Googling for the name of the game also shows this same page, not the new URL. Nothing about this on the official Twitter/Facebook page either. When did this happen, and for what reason? It was fine a few days ago, but today, I couldn't even come to the forums to download the new version of the game. Weird stuff

Are there people in this world that actually discard Wailmers? What the fuck is wrong with you people? Wailmers are bros for life. You're supposed to stick with your bro for ever, not look for another because you aren't happy with its faults. You people disgust me.
  6. The 2nd server won't be for another gameserver. It's to split the strain that is being put on the single existing server. It's not, in the literal sense, a new server to play on. You should've read Shane's announcement better. This new server will house the player movement and interactions, from what I understood, which will help massively decrease lag/latency and add room for more players simultaneously. It won't be something to play on. Besides, it makes no sense to split the community into different servers. 850 at once isn't that big of a number for an MMO, there's really no reason for another one. A single server is more than enough to house all the events, PVP or not, that are required to keep people busy. Splitting communities is never good until you have millions of players.

  9. You realize pokemon are priced not only by what pokemon they are, but also by level, IVs/EVs, moves, gender, rarity, shiny, right? Because all of that changes the value of a pokemon. A Ghastly might be worth 5k, and another be worth 200k if it's shiny competitive. A price list doesn't make sense. A pokemon is worth however much someone is willing to pay for it, not dictated by a list of preset prices.
  10. A pink pikachu is something bad? Better report to the develops then. One is usually rude when the other starts being rude firstly. Think about it. k
  11. The game has a download size of 700mb. That made me thought part of the code of interaction would run in the client. I didn't realized everything was in the server side. As for the freezing, the game freezes in all cases, not only in connection problem cases. Finally, you don't need to be that rude. If you can't catch your pink pikachu, it's not my problem. I'm just trying to help here. The downloads include all kind of resources, most of which are images and sounds, which take up a lot of space. Even if the code for interactions were to be in the game, it would take up far less than that. The game doesn't freeze when you login successfully, I've experienced this multiple times. It does when it fails to login. And to finalize, that's a nice ad hominem for someone that just told someone else not to be rude.
  12. 1 - Unnecessary, there's custom channels for that reason, would clutter the overworld, especially in areas with a lot of players 2 - This is an MMO. There's no saving. All the data is saved in real time, not after 30 seconds. You most likely suffered from a small rollback when a hotfix or update was implemented, you got unlucky. Saving isn't a thing. 3 - Diagonal movement wasn't in any pokemon game, and doesn't work in the 2D game that is pokemon. 4 - Could be a thing, though I don't see the big deal about it. Makes more sense in tablets than with a mouse. About the improvements: 1 - Login process freezes because it's failing to connect. It doesn't freeze if it manages to connect successfully. Their servers are under a lot of strain, which causes the connection to fail. This isn't a huge problem. 2 - Interaction with NPCs is slowed down because of lag. Again, it's a server problem, which they already said multiple times they're working to fix. Making it so the client runs these interactions instead of the server opens up vulnerabilities to exploiting and cheating, it has to be done by the server. 3 - This is, again, because of the lag the game is experiencing right now. It's not a problem when it's not lagging. Give it a few days or weeks and it should be better when they get their stuff right. 4 - Again, server lag. Did you honestly not think it was a weird thing that everything takes so long? It's obviously not on purpose. All your improvement suggestions are related to lag, how can you be so oblivious to what's going on?
  13. Hey there, I don't feel like there's a reason not to allow players to cycle/use mounts inside caves. I'm fairly certain this was possible in the handheld games, and there's really no reason I can think of not to allow players to cycle inside these places. It just makes things in there really slow for no good reason. So basically, enable cycling inside caves and stuff

    Battle Log

Basically, the title. We could use a battle log chatbox to see what happened in the previous rounds. Sometimes, I alt tab and I'm not sure what happened to my attack, or want to see what pokemon I just killed because I was mindlessly grinding. A battle log is just useful overall. You already print the messages to the screen, so printing them to a log shouldn't be hard. Also, as a side note: When you run for a pokemon, it says "You have run away from X" and it should be "ran".
  19. Then don't lose? Go train your pokemon and come back again. If you keep forcing your head into stronger opponents, you'll lose. It was even more aggressive in the handheld games, you're lucky you lose so little in here.

  21. Breeding doesn't work in an MMO environment. I'll make a rundown of things that will suck about breeding: 1) It will be too strong and make copies of rare pokemon with 6x31 IVs, devaluing every pokemon in the game 2) Or it will be so weak that no one uses it and it's useless As a result of these, breeding will either be the central point of the game, or be a useless function that no one ever uses, and therefore, pointless to even create. 3) Waiting for eggs or walking around to hatch eggs isn't amazing gameplay, in fact, it sucks 4) Breeding will make "event" pokemon redundant. If for example, a pokemon is introduced in a limited way for limited time, before it's official introduction, breeding makes this event useless and said pokemon can just be recreated for ever 5) Breeding will devalue everything in the game up to that moment. Every pokemon everyone has up to the point breeding was released, will become redundant Breeding is not good for an MMO environment. It happened before in another Pokemon MMO, which I won't name but surely many know, possibly even the devs of this one, and it launched the game into free fall. It simply destroyed the gameplay, the competitive scene, and the longlasting appeal. At least catching pokemon and visiting different areas of the game contributes to gameplay instead of walking randomly. Not to mention that randomized IVs from catching pokemon promotes a healthier economy, avoid the creation of "god" pokemon. Also, to one of your earlier posts, no one was rude to you. You said this was a place for discussion, well, I have yet to see any argument made for breeding. There's no point in it, anything that breeding accomplishes can be replaced by something else. Abilities? Make them all available in the wild. Moves? Make them as TMs or purchasable, obtainable as held items in caught pokemon, etc. Perfect IVs? That's not something you will want in the first place. Breeding is not good for an MMO. Period.
