  3. Accepted! When the server's back up I'll collect your pokemon :) I'll pm you on the forum now!
  4. I've seen this idea before; it's from the hundreds upon hundreds of generic browser based pokemon games, where IVs, EVs etc are not implemented, so in order to fix this, the devs just brought in ideas about fakemons. This isn't the case in this game, and is certainly not needed.
  5. It's to build upon the challenge of it really; personally, I found Johto to be a worthwhile challenge and hope that Hoenn is similar in some respects. Also, this isn't really an error, so there's no real need to "change" it. If something's hard, try harder.
  6. So as a lot of you fans will be aware, today is pokemon 20! And what should we do to celebrate? Lots of events could happen ingame and I'm looking for your ideas; this could be anything from a generic get-together to giveaways or a battle-bonanza! Have fun everyone, and enjoy today! ~Sparkly
  7. It's not a bad idea, but the issue would be that MS players and regular players have different cooldowns for them. In lieu of this, getting MS while they're on cooldown could cause issues. Alternatively, you could make a simple word document with date and time you face them, that's what I do and I'll plan accordingly!
  8. You can get Superpower in Cianwood City (house) for 12000$. Thanks for the info; I never knew that! In which case I would swap the bug move for superpower
  9. For an actual Ingame-viable build, I'd look at this one: Scizor @ Leftovers Ability: Technician EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 hp Adamant Nature - Swords Dance - Bullet Punch - Bug Bite/X-Scissor (not sure if you can get him with bug bite ingame) - Knock Off U-Turn is currently broken ingame and Superpower is a gen 6 tutor move which you can't get yet.
  10. There really is no need to implement a world map though; I understand some people don't know since they haven't played the games or not all of them, but it's not hard to just have a local map like we do now. It fits what players need, and it's a straightforward concept that needs no updating with anything fancy. You hold a map in your hand, and it does exactly what you want it to do: Show you the region.
  11. The point is you only need to rebattle them once a week, it's not a major issue.
  12. This was brought up a few weeks ago, and I'll quote what I remember Arnie saying on this one: Each trainer has a Line of Sight (LoS) which can't be changed. Whenever you walk into their LoS, it queries whether you've battled that trainer in the period of cooldown. If you have, they don't get alerted, if you haven't, they'll battle you. I believe he said it was impossible/extremely difficult to change this, so it wouldn't happen.
  13. There's lots of events on a monthly basis in the way of clans, general player-made ones and such. In addition, the legendary tournament is currently in process, so these do happen. Custom skins for pokemon shouldn't really be given out like hot-cakes, they should be extremely rare and event-only. Having a monthly event as you say for limited items hardly makes them limited anymore unfortunately. It's a nice idea, but it already happens in other ways, you just need to look around the forums a bit.
  14. I agree with MoonMoon - if you're currently full, you really should be reviewing your members for activity; it's all good having a full 50 guild, but if 40 of them are inactive, then there's very little point. Try and make your guild prosper because even considering making a second guild to accommodate additional members. Remember that it's almost always quality over quantity.
  15. Unfortunately, I would only find this a viable idea if we didn't have NPC gym leaders already, there is already a lot of time spent facing the gym leaders and doing the story, and with PvP a big part of the game, ascending the ladder is already a major goal of any competitive and I honestly don't think there would be much interest, especially since you'd have to wait for said members to be online etc. I also noticed you mentioned "replacement battles" to take over as gym leader. This would cause further problems, since even with a forum post on who the current gym leaders are etc, I think gyms would change hands far too quickly to keep up with and update on the forum (especially since the original forum poster would have to be online the same time as the new gym leader to update it, which brings in time zone issues, too.) In addition, having the gym leader choose specific rules that may change depending on what the new leader wants would bring similar issues. Regarding your rules on gyms, I also find them to be far too vague to have a good impact; variances such as Bruno's Onyx as the example - where is the line? Your line may be different to the person creating the team. It also has the same limitations of general gyms - Players just tailor their teams to beat that gym, and the difficult of the elite 4 is then gone too, since the can be tailored against, also. Finally, a round robin to determine who's in the elite 4 is a very peculiar idea; how would you determine which is best? Obviously it completely boils down to typing and who has the least weaknesses, which completely defies the point of it. In conclusion, I feel that though the idea is well intentioned, it's just not viable in an MMO with such dynamic play and the rules have not been thoroughly considered enough to work.
  16. I feel you're trying to force some very circumstantial evidence here. From a scizor user, I've never had bullet punch miss, coincidentally I also run SD/BP/KO on mine, and it depends on your situation in the fight: Bullet punch can't miss unless there's an accuracy/evasion difference or the other pokemon is using an avoidance move. You haven't told us anything about the battle scenario for this, could you please elaborate?
  17. A lot of abilities such as this do not have their hidden bonuses added; there's a lot of more popular abilities that aren't working at all. Note that most abilities will be implemented eventually and just because you've asked for this doesn't mean it's going to get added any quicker.
  18. I would say there are two sides to this: Nuggets are 5k in the real games, but if they remember that nuggets are just pokedollar trash, wouldn't they be suspicious if someone is buying one for 10k? Also you should have come across the rare item buyer by the time you can trade anyway, since he's at cerulean cape by the second badge, when you need 4 to trade.
  19. What do you mean sorry? If you have bad internet and DC anyway, you'd know about it when it still takes considerably longer than usual to respond I feel. This isn't a bad idea at all, I just think it isn't needed too much because when the server DCs (bad internet or not) it's very, very obvious.
  20. By the fact you said it didn't deal much more (though Reckless only increases by 20% anyway), I would say no; only because there are more popular abilities that still don't work, also.
  21. I think this is a good idea, especially if it's toggle-able. It's ideal to unclog parts of the screen (if you want to remove people's clan tags etc) or add your own (since it's nice to see). I would say it's a perfectly viable idea which is a nice quality of life update that shouldn't be too hard to manage either since it's a personal thing.
  22. 1. I believe this has been referred to before as "planned for the future". 2. This has already happened before - For the Christmas event you were able to get Stantlers (yes, Stantler Antlers) and a Christmas Stantler mount by doing the Christmas quest/beating the Christmas boss respectively. As for "finding" vanity items, a type of easter-egg hunt for them is a great idea, but making them "look like that item on the shelf" isn't always easy (or ideal for that matter). I would just think about generic hats and clothes for these perhaps. If you could elaborate on this, that would be great. :)
  23. I think this has been addressed before, where it was said that: It's straying a long distance from the original games; some things are destined to change, this I would say is not one of those things. It's a basis of pokemon. The workaround is to have open pokemon slots or just take regular trips to the PC (get two good poliwags? Then good! Sell one, you just made cash because you got lucky!) It's just another shortcut suggestions, which, if all of these shortcut suggestions were implemented, would massively cut the game's longevity; you can still release them from your box. Remember that the reward comes from the effort put in, how much effort you put in determines how happy you are with the result. Example being I get little happiness from creating teams on real Pokemon now because I can EV a pokemon and level it to 100 in 5 minutes. I've also created complete battle-ready teams in a single day. If this was the case, it's cutting the time shorter and shorter until eventually this could become actuality. Unfortunately this isn't just about your suggestion, it's about the category your suggestion falls into, which many would say is a slippery slope into an effortless (and rewardless) gaming experience. Yes, you could say "you still have to catch the pokemon, you still have to do this, that, the other etc" but the general issue is it's one more stack on the jenga tower of shortcuts until it comes tumbling down.
  24. Welcome! Also, I agree with Doc on this one. Be sure to get acquainted with the forum and if you need help, there's plenty of people on IRC and Discord! ~Sparkly
  25. Did you check your actual sixth pokemon? click it and there should be a box in the top right of the pokemon status screen. Sounds like you equipped the mount onto the pokemon. You can click the box to unequip it.
