Is the beggining of the game too hard on newcomers?

Well the truth is the 1st and and 2nd gym is little bit hard but not really that challenging they can easily be encounter if u have the pokemon that have the advantages to those gyms. Most new comers that are having a hard time are those who pick charmander as their starter. They don't know how to encounter those gyms and thats what give them a hard time. I easily beat Brock using squirtle and Misty with pikachu. -

I prefer to buy an arca mount thats worth 70k than doing the quest for free arca mount cause u need to catch dratini and it is only obtainable if u buy a super rod and it worth 75k and u have to look for the other 2 rare poke so not worth it in doing the quest. -

When i don't open my bag during battle for a long period of time like around 30 min + and when i will find a poke that i want to catch then ill open the bag the game freezes like the image below but it will soon come back to normal after a couple of minutes.
