The analytic set exists as far back as BW which is all I bothered to check. The reasoning is sound and while we've gotten off topic, I am curious why you think it would not work in PRO. highlite.PNG I don't know if Analytic is coded here but i know is useless for a timid starmie, only few popular pkmn here can outspeed him, for a bold is better but the timid one is really better with Natural cure I'm sorry if my OP was not clear in explaining how analytic works. Switching out a pokemon is considered moving first, and starmie will get the power boost on the incoming pokemon. Combined with Starmie knack for forcing switches, analytic becomes a powerful ability.

With pro 2 in development and the general slowness of abilities being coded myself and many other players believe some abilites will simply never be coded. I propose being able to reroll an uncoded ability to a coded ability as a general solution to this issue. for example, I spent several hours hunting staryu and the best one I got is Now, analytic is a very powerful ability allowing 1.3x power boost on switch ins. Preferable to natural cure in many situations. However, analytic is not coded and therefore this staryu and my effort rendered useless. This system would allow me to reroll into either illuminate or natural cure, and a 1/20 to reroll back to analytic. I would only be able to reroll again if analytic was produced in the reroll attempt. I"m not sure if there are pokemon that could abuse this system, and it would be good to point these out as a rebuttal. e.g if the uncoded ability is unwanted and a reroll will certainly make the pokemon usable.

Why do you want to join NoMercy? Mostly for the social aspect. I talk to genometrics often and have spoken to other members of NoMercy. Other than having fun playing the game, what are your goals in PRO? My most immediate goal is to break 400 ranking. I think 377 is my highest so far. Long term I'd like to ladder at least once. I also intend to do it using my own creative strategy. I see resources like smogon as being valuable, but unfun to follow exactly. I specifically have enjoyed my battles against teerav. Seeing careful excadrill and even relicanth is interesting and makes pvp more rewarding. I'd also like to clean my boxes of trash pokemon but that's more of an endgame goal. How old are you and other than English, what languages do you speak? I'll be 21 in a month, native English speaker but enjoy the occasional troll in spanish.
