Yesterday I was EV training a Pokemon in route 117, a wild Zigzagoon appears, used covet and stole my Macho Brace, then he died in the same turn causing the disappearing of my item.

My guild leader told me to post it, because it's suposed that wild pokemons couldn't stole your items.

 

I want to know if it's possible to get my item back or what's gonna happen.

Do you have any video of that happening/can replicate that with another item such as a berry or something?

I am not able to replicate it at all and it's also not how Covet works.

I have been encountering the same problem! Literally after killing the zigzagon, my item dissapeared from my pokes inventory.

Sadly its hard to report that since the item is gone in one moment so its hard to show evidence.

My meditite lost its too and you can clearly see that only two EV are trained, which indicates that i must have trained it.
