I'd like to touch a few key points on why breeding is not feasible for an MMO enviornment.

 

1- Rarity = If, breeding were to be implemented, rarity would die since you can basically copy/clone every poke you want without effort.

2- Selective IV breeding = Adjusting this to an MMO level. It will have to hard, both doable and money wise. This would only benefit the players who are rich enough to spend such great numbers of cash.

3- Equal chances = With CatchMMO mechanics, every player has an equal chance to obtain a better pokemon. While with breeding, only those who are rich can create a perfect pokemon. This is not a mechanic that you'd want to see in an MMO that depends on RNG.
