In the past it was possible to break up the battle tower challenge during ur walkthrough because if you fight 11 npc in a row it takes a lot of time and f.e u see smth in trade chat u cant buy it while u stuck in battle tower (cause all 11 fights takes a long time and no one wants to wait so long). So pls add that we can leave the battle tower during the challenge (between 2 fights of course)

As the battle tower is made to be an end game feature, theres no reason for you to battle it during your walkthrough.

Also, it takes 20/25~ mins to battle all the trainers and finish the tower challenge, it's not that much.

Make sure you dont have anything else to do before entering the tower.
