The PVP Season Result thread states that, "if the results are slightly incorrect, the correct users would have still been rewarded. This is due to the server automatically rewarding the top 25." There is a possibility that this occurred. The owner of the thread also includes that if you believe there was an error then to contact him via PMs. You can find the thread here.
