Siradis
My understanding is that Fighting type attacks should be Super Effective against Steel Type Pokémon. In my game, whenever I use fighting attacks against steel Pokémon, it's always Not Very Effective and it's bothering me. I can play just fine by simply remembering that it's NVE instead of SE, but it's really inconvenient. I asked around on the Help chat and no one else seems to have this issue; fighting is SE against steel for all of them. Any ideas why this may be so? Any way to fix it? Imtrippin
Which steel pokemon did you use a fighting move vs? If a pokemon is a dual type then the other element it has covers up the weakness. Jirachi is an example of that since it's both a psychic type and a steel type. Since fighting is NVE vs psychic the damage becomes neutral due to it also being a steel type. Are you sure you weren't just up against a dual type? Can you provide Gif/video proof of this occuring? If not, several screenshots of this incident? I've tried it for myself and I don't seem to get the issue. If this is a bug, I can forward it to the related parties. Anyway good luck, not much I can do either way. I have attached links to a mediafire download of two videos proving this. I couldn't attach the video files themselves (zipped folder or not); server said file size was too large. http://www.mediafire.com/file/51j3b9acyd69mfi/IMG_4540.MOV/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/3kysy589l8ycclq/IMG_4539.MOV/file heh, even the guy I was battling was confused about it. Imtrippin
Delcatty gets the ability normalize. "In battle Normalize makes all moves (including status moves) used by the Pokémon with this Ability act as though they were Normal-type instead of their usual type. " If you have normalize on your Delcatty I don't see any problems here since normal is not effetive vs steel. Shout out to Niko242 for volunteering his Steelix for this experiment! :) Hi there. I've reviewed your videos and it seems as if what Reconnecting said is correct. I've checked your Delcatty and she seems to have Normalize as her ability. This makes it so her abilities are all normal type despite their typing, this is why your Delcatty's moves are not super effective on steel types because Normal is less effective to steel. Hope this clarifies things for you. ♡ General Support ♡ PRO Reporting ♡ Punishment Policy ♡ Discipline Appeals ♡ Please do not contact staff members for private support.
