I bought the 15 day membership on September 8th 2018 and I got to use it to go to Pinkan island but after that the membership disappeared, basically I couldn't do anything that I should be able to do with a membership.

I bought membership again and nothing happened. Maybe the membership doesn't go into effect for a few days, if so please inform me, otherwise I just wasted my money.

Are you sure you activated the membership by clicking on it and confirming?

If the membership is active you should be able to see a red star in the left-top part of your screen

I'm sorry for any confusion and concern this may have caused you. As Heiwajima said, you need to click on the membership and confirm it. The medallion will be in your bag under "Misc Items." Click it. You will be asked to confirm that you want to use it. This guide shows steps to activating it.
