However, you can always try to make some friends in-game and borrow their pokemon through the Lending Feature. This feature will allow you to use their pokemon for a certain amount of time. Please ensure that you've gotten the Rainbow Badge first though. You can also buy pokemon from others in the in-game Trade Chat. A great way to make money is by dig spots (3 day cooldown), battling trainers (7 day cooldown)/bosses(12 day cooldown) and hunting for Pokémon people may want. Hope this helps and have a great day.
