I for once, I'm very exited for the release of Windows 10 , since it promises new features like Cortana or that new browser, code name Spartan. Do you guys think it's a big jump from Microsoft? Will you even use Cortana or the new browser, or will you stay with your current web browser?

I will certainly make the jump within a few days of release. I am going to wait maybe three days for everything to stabilize. When 8.1 came out, there was too much traffic the first day it came out.

I like using Chrome as my browser, so I will test out the Spartan browser. I don't see myself using Cortana.

8 was a flop, from my perspective, and someone who actually takes use of his PC.

sure 8 was fine for a tablet like use. although.

Not only did they remove their start menu, to some metro crap that takes up the whole screen, all the applications take up a full screen at default.

Very NOT user friendly for anyone multitasking or doing anything other then being forced to lose your multitasking skills.

In windows 8, 7, and vista. They went so out of their way to make things user friendly that they failed and made it not user friendly, it made doing admin like things, and setting up a lot of system stuff take 10 times as long, and harder to find.

8's look felt cheap, ran slower then 7 in many benchmarks, and when i got my laptop from my ex wife's mother, i went out of my way to program a start menu for it. because they'd decide they'd remove it completely. forgetting that for the non retards out there like to multitask and see things and can find things in a better, organised fashion.

i have many problems with it from a programmers view too, but i wont go into it.

However, i believe 7 is their best OS so far, and fastest.

If windows 10 is anything like 10, its gonna be another failed OS. and i saw a screenie of 10s start bar they put back in.. but it is far from being as usable as it was in 7. and its still full of metro crap.

Windows mobile sucks hard, many hardware issues as well as flexibility. and also programming issues.

I havent been totally happy with an OS since windows 98se or 95 with the later IE addons to get the quick launch bar in.

Shane,

Will PRO still be playable on a 64-bit computer with Windows 10? I am upgrading from 8 to 10 this July (that is when 10 is coming out)

Thanks,

Engineer

I would surprised if it didn't. The only reason Windows stays in business these days is probably backwards compatibility.

Despite the let down of Windows 8, Windows in general is still a great OS for both commercial and personal use. There are many limitations to Mac OS, as none of my engineering programs run well on it

Does it work on Win' 95?

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

XP minimum, for the Windows operating systems they need to support DirectX 9, support 1gb+ ram, and any graphics chipset made after 2004.

Windows XP is quite old, 14 years old. And is not supported by Microsoft. So anything before that certainly not.

I know you are being a troll with this question :P

And windows 95 is my favourite era of computing time.
