Cyber54
Overall no. They are saved on a data server. But u can loose temporary things like pokemon that is freshly caught. Or progress that u have freshly done when the server crashes and causes a rollback. I might be wrong a staff memebr will correct me for sure ^^. But yeah thats how much i know. Administrator Shinohara Posted January 7, 2019 Administrator Share Posted January 7, 2019 Im new to this game and i am wondering is it possible to lose progress because it is online? Hi @Kenetty ! I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I would like to inform you that our server automatically save your progress and therefore you don't have to do it manually like handheld games. There is not any way to lose your whole progress, but it may happen that sometimes, due to a crash/disconnection, you may lose a little part of it (e.g a Pokémon captured 2 minutes before the crash, a boss you've beat 2 minutes before the crash, etc). Lost by crash issues (Including disconnections and rollbacks) Some times when the game crashes/stuck, you might lose your a bit of your progress. Keep in mind that game is in BETA and crashes can happen any time. You will not be given anything you lost in a rollback/crash/stuck as it's responsibility. Please take the time to read the following thread Hit by a rollback. We are so sorry for your case, however, it will not have any action go further for your case. However, one of the most common way to minimize the losses is to relog after you capture any important Pokémon, in this way you will force save your progress and you should minimize the losses. For any further and more detailed information I highly suggest you to read our HIT BY A ROLLBACK as it is a really valuable thread containing essential information about the rollback and all the ways to minimize the losses. I hope this was clarifying, let me know if something is unclear and if you have any further questions. Have a wonderful day !
