mew quest problem

I have a problem I have seen all 151 kanto pokemon and also caught 147 except mew, mewtwo and the legendary birds and still can not do the mew quest. what am I doing wrong? my playing time is 344 hours have all the orders all regions through and prof. oak says i only caught 147 kanto pokemon thats true but how am i supposed to get those caught entries for the birds if you cant catch them at all. have defeated them for a long time and they will not come back what could I do?

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

It seems like you should be able to correctly complete the quest. What is the error you are experiencing?

 

Could you please try the following and see if you are able to do the quest:

  • Go in Pallet Town and talk to Prof. Oak, let him take a look to your Pokedex.
  • After having talked to Oak it's time to go to Celadon to take your Old Sea Map. Enter in the building next to the Pokecenter and go on the Roof Top by taking the elevator.

yes, finally it worked and I was able to get the old sea map. Thank you for the nice and quick help. wish you also a wonderful day with. kind regards Arcturon :)
