Safari event shouldnt exist

Hello there,

as you all know, the safari event makes it very easy to hunt rare Pokemon like Panchan, Lillipup and so on as tier 8. This event devaluates the Pokemon of players, who spent hours and hours or million of pokedolar to get ahand on good ones of these rare Pokemon. You didn’t think about these players at all or you don’t care about them. Either way, treating them like the way you are doing now is not how it should be. Furthermore, a game like Pokemon also lives from rare Pokemon. If you just make them all easily catchable, the game loses a huge part of its identity. This event is completely non-sense and should never have existed. What do you say to those whose work you basically nullified?

that why they call it event. start complaining when the spawns are always there. you should be happy that there are events, without events the game would die. and dont even say its easy lol, i spent 2 days in kanto safari still havent got any half decent venipede. and i have free safari access through test server. there are plenty who have to pay for safari. havin easier access to sth rare for a short period of time is sth that happens in every game. not everyone has time and money to throw around and im quite sure the majority is happy about the event. there are plenty stuff that are exclusive for you "high level player", like tutor heaven. or the 50k discord giveaway. while everyone is in 1 pool, the high lvl player have an extra pool.

so yeah, some events are for casual player and some are for "high level player".

It is 1 week each with tier 8. Thats not a short time. U think thats ok for the players who dont have much time lol but that doesnt make it any better for the ones who did invest the time. Events like this do not make the game better for everyone, just for the ones who now easily get the Pokemon. You dont care about the others.

if they dont make events for people who have less time and no money, how long do you think this game will exist? if only people who can spent half the day in it, get good stuff? you think the "small people" would go on playing when they see that they have to put too much time in it to get sth good?

the answer is nope, they would quit and your game goes down with them.

I think its you who cant see it outta the perspective of the majority of the player. surely people like you dont get much out of this event but then again, the devs have to think of more than only you. thats how to keep the game alive.

Players wont quit this game just because they dont have all good boss poke. You can have good normal poke with little time. But the ones that are hard to get and take time shouldnt be easily catchable. You think everything in a game should be easy to get to make players stay but that is sadly wrong. If there is nothing that takes time, the players will lose interest. Your perspective is very one dimensional.

sigh, cant help you because u are butthurt cause u dont gain anything from this event. the fact that the devs made this event, the majority is happy about this event proves that its a good one. and if it isnt about the majority of the player then who should the devs care about. i think you shouldnt say that my perspective is on dimensional, its rather the other way round. unless you really think that people are against this safari event lol.

heck, even one of the top pvp(if not the #1 last season) from gold is hunting venipede in kanto as he was lookin for one for days even before the event and couldnt find anything. so yeah, you cant change it , deal with it. everyone has the right to voice their opinion but to accuse the devs not thinking of dedicated player is utter nonsense. if they dont care about dedicated player , the 50k discord raffle wouldnt have an extra prize pool exclusively for them. just one example

Just because its good for most players doesnt make it any better. Venipede is catchable anyways. Its the boss poke that shouldnt be in this event. But thanks for your opinion. Thats probably how the people in charge thought about it too. Who cares about the players that Pokemon we are davaluating as long as more peope are happy. Great mindset.

It is basically like Chicken said, it is an event. Events happen and games like PRO strive of events hence stuff like payday event or this safari event need to happen. Payday event happened twice and everyone who does literally anything in this game can argue that its unfair that people get easy cash just for defeating random Pokemon when you had to earn your money.

I wouldn't say that but it would surely slow down in activity, that is a given for ANY GAME LITERALLY ANY GAME.

I am "one of those high level players" and I would know what is best for the game given the amount of thousands of hours I spent here over the last almost 3 years.

It honestly is, not everyone has the time to hunt every day for 15 hours a day and keep in mind that Tier8 is still a very rare tier and not really "common".

Who am I? I am the guy who does the spawns in PRO, well at least for the last 10 months prior to that I was basically reworking spawns in summer 2017 without having the rank. I am the reason Repeltricks are supported, heck I did 99% of them. As a player I accumulated over a couple thousand hours playtime and more spending working on the game itself by editing spawns and such. I also lived through several phases of economy that the game had so I can surely understand what you mean by devalue. Back in the "golden days" as I refer to them, we could sell MS for 2mil (regular MS), now its just worth a quarter of it or even less. Back then I sold my H.A average IV Talonflame for 25.5mil when it was only available in Headbutts.

I do understand that adding spawns, changing their tiers, even changing the MS status can have an impact on the economy and I can assure you that I would not do spawnchanges that I think are bad, would hurt the economy in a major way or similar even if either of the two Devs would tell me to change those spawns. I was given the rank because I have the knowledge others don't therefore me or Nikola are the ones who make spawn decisions. As of late (the last 10 months) I have been making all the decisions and the directions spawns headed is great and sustainable. Can I make everyone happy? No I can not and if you are not one of them then that is totally fine, I work for the masses not for individual players, the elites, the PvPers or any other subgroup. So in conclusion the Safari Event week is good for players without MS, it is good for players who can enter free because they helped the game in a meaningful way (testing a major patch) or even as a money sink for the games economy as more people hunt in Safari, so more Safari tickets get sold since the spawns are "good"/"worthy" of being hunted.
