I cant promote members to officers

We recently changed the leadership in our guild, and while i was trying to promote to officer the old leader, we found out that i couldnt promote any member to officer. By asking around we figured out that this is a alreafy known bug and we should report this, any help would be very appreciated.

Hello there! My apologies for the inconvenience.

 

I would like to inform you that the bug about the guild members not being able to be promoted is known and the fix is being looked upon.

However, there is a work around, you could try losing your leadership to an officer you trust and then get promoted back and try again.

Let me know if this fixed the problem.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience and the delay

Could you please try the following:

1. Demote the one wanted to be promoted to Officer, to Initiate
   
2. Kick him from the guild
   
3. Invite him back
   
4. Try again to promote him to Officer.
   

If that should work then proceed and try this:

1. Pass the leadership to that person
   
2. Get kicked
   
3. Then reinvited and given leadership back
   
4. Then promote back to officer and that should work.
   

You can also try to use the commands instead of rightclick on the name of the player: /gpromote <Username> , /gdemote <Username> , /gkick <Username>

thanks for the responce, i have tried the first solution you suggested, as for the second one i cant promote an officer to a leader, i only use the commands because when i right click the name of the members it doesnt give the options it should as the message that i linked show, same with officers, i just cantsend you a pic atm cos no officer is online now :P if you have any other suggestions that may fix my problems, i would be more than happy to try them :)

This thing happened with me too

You can try this - Promote your any trustable officer or your alt to leader and after promoting him, take leadership back

or give leadership to old leader and take back, Maybe this can work
