Shiny Charm

I think it would be really cool if you added a shiny charm or something. Like a consumable, like the exp boost or something that lasts like a few hours or something.

Because it's not like shinies are over powered or anything and most don't even go for much anymore. But they're still cool and make the game fun. They're my favorite part of the game tbh. Just a thought.

No. Shinies are special because they are rare. Creating a way to making the chances of getting any shiny higher when hunting just ruins their whole point.

Shiny Charm for a few hours ? It'll still be painful don't worry. Oh and, they are already some ways to get shinies with a higher rate. Magikarp seller, boss rewards shiny chances are 1/4096 and even increased if you take the shiny chance (not sure about that one tho, but i'm sure it is higher than 1/8192). Shinies are to be rare, you just said it : "It doesn't change anything but the sprite". There are a lot of players so barely any pokemon has been shiny at least once. Your idea will decrease the value of shinies. I am fond of shinies too, but I disagree on your idea. Hope you got my mind :D

Yeah. I see what you're saying. I also had no idea the karp salesman had a high shiny chance.
