I got disconnected while i was in the bug catching contest in the very first minute (due to the server)

so as i said i went to the bug catching contest and while i was fighting a pokemon the server disconnected and teleported me straight to the pokemon center and i couldn't get any reward like that its funny cuz this happened to me yesterday as well is it possible for a gm to let me go in the bug catching event (somehow reset my run) since its really irritating like that i have noticed that the servers have been shutting down quite a lot recently i really don't want to wait another 18 hours just to get diconecceted again.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, i regret to inform you that we are unable to refund you of your Bug Catching Contest cooldown as it would be unfair to all the others that accepted the loss of their progress due to crashing, regardless of on our end of theirs, if we would refund you and and all of them of their money/cooldown/pokemon.

 

Lost by crash issues (Including disconnections and rollbacks)

Some times when the game crashes/stuck, you might lose your a bit of your progress. Keep in mind that game is in BETA and crashes can happen any time. You will not be given anything you lost in a rollback/crash/stuck as it's responsibility. Please take the time to read the following thread Hit by a rollback. We are so sorry for your case, however, it will not have any action go further for your case.

 

However as Pokemon Revolution Online is a project in continuous update and that we understand that experiencing crashes and losing progress can be frustrating, we always work and try to improve the stability of our servers but is not perfect and it can sometimes still result in a crash.

Our developers are working no-stop in order to fix the server to a point where it will be again playable as we really care about our community and want to make sure that everyone enjoy the game and everyone is happy while playing it.

They are totally reworking the server code and there will be an update soon where python will be completely re-implemented in PRO and many, many other things in the server code as well, and this should be enough to fix a lot of things or at least give us the chance to pinpoint the other problems and therefore fix them in a fastest way.

In addition to what said above, i would like to inform you that in the future our TOOLS will be updated as well in order to help us check things like shop-logs and other things that may be loss due to a crash and therefore help us to have solid proof where we can base refunds on in case someone should lose part of their progress.

 

Also, ensuring a proper connection on your end also helps minimize your losses. It is good to check on your internet provider to know when their downtimes will be as well as contacting them if you are not experiencing a stable connection. If the disconnect was caused by connection issues on your end, you may try the following:

  • Call your internet provider.
  • Troubleshoot Your Hardware.
  • Opt for a wired connection if you’re using a wireless connection
  • Turn Off Bandwidth-Hogging Plugins and Apps.
  • Try a New DNS Server

I know it can be frustrating to lose part of your progress, but i hope you can understand why we cannot fulfill your request. Please, stay tuned on our OFFICIAL PRO DISCORD for further announcements about Pokemon Revolution Online.
