So i've started playing was really thinking of getting into it a lot. But my friends told me that games like this get taken down quite often. im just worried that i get too far into it and it gets taken down.

till the game is in beta it wont be taken down and it will always be in beta, there r many similar topics, go through all replies by staff members in them

As far as I know there are more than 1 fan-made Pokemon MMO that lasted longer without being taken down, and still active to this day. PRO is still safe.

 

Besides, I think Nintendo & GF are more reluctant to stop fan-made Pokemon MMOs because let's face it, even they know the fan-made MMOs help reducing the amount of players complaining about the lack of a Pokemon MMO. Nintendo & GF just prefer to stay in the console business, otherwise they would have made an official Pokemon MMO since years ago.

Fan-made single player Pokemon games on PC are more likely to be targeted than the MMO ones, because the official games are single player games played on a console.

Game will not get taken down so as long as PRO is never a finished product i.e always remains in beta. Nevertheless, Nintendo now allows people to use their IP for fan projects.
