Love the game but the one big thing missing is skill animations? I like seeing the different skills in action and it feels like a pretty big thing to leave out of the game, are they ever going to be implemented?

There will be a rework of the Battle UI. According to an old announcement, important animations like Substitute might come with the rework. Others will be added later. Overall, this is something that's probably not on the top of the Devs' to-do list. They might come eventually, nonetheless.

Hi Sumyunguy, as Euripides mentioned the devs are currently working on a new battle UI and with that includes all the moves being coded and move animations will be included in that, whether it is some or all move animations I cannot say though. I cannot say how much of a priority it is for the developers but it is one of their projects.

 

Also as this is not a support thread but more a request in the future can you post stuff like this in suggestions sub forum, that way the staff who make decisions on such things will be guaranteed to see it.

Well, you'd be surprised to know that many people prefer to have their animation turned off. However, a larger part of the community wishes to have other things such as moves (which haven't been coded), new regions, etc. Therefore, they are more important. Yeah, surely animations will make the game look better but some other things are more needed at the moment.
