resolved Clearing story question

Hi.

 

I want to rush the 4 maps story skipping battles as much as i can, etc, but i don't want to leave anything behind without know about it. So my question is: is there any part of the story that is one-chance clear? Like a rocket hideout or something like that, where i need to pay attention to get a specific item that i only can pick while clearing it first time?

The story is a huge part of PRO, but I understand that you'd probably want to avoid unnecessary battles. I'll see if I can get you a list of useful items from the story.

 

KANTO

• You can get HM Flash after catching 10 unique pokemon. Talk to Oak’s Aid in Route 2 (Stop house 3) and he’ll give it to you.
  
• There's a Free TM Dig at Cerulean House 6
  
• The SS Anne Quest will give you HM Cut.
  
• The Old Rod can be found in the house on the left side of the Vermilion Mart.
  
• For a bike, talk to the NPC named Samuel in the house on the right of the Vermilion City Pokemon Center. Show him a Ditto with your OT to receive the Bike Voucher. Afterwards, exchange the voucher and 40,000 Pokedollars for an untradeabale Bike in Cerulean's Bike Shop.
  
• The Good Rod can be found in Fuchsia City House 1 for 15,000 Pokedollars.
  
• The Saffron Dojo will give you a Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan.
  
• HM Surf is found in the Safari Zone.
  
• There's a free Arcanine Quest Southeast from Fuchsia
  
• You can talk to Davis at Cinnabar Lab for a free Porygon if you have 100 caught data.
  

 

JOHTO

• The Super Rod can be found in Olivine City House 1 for 75,000 Pokedollars.
  
• Biker south of the Goldenrod PC will trade you a Machop holding a Macho Brace for a Drowzee
  

HOENN

• You get Dive at Mossdeep City Space Center 1F
  
• You get Waterfall at Cave of Origin B3F

Thanks for your answer! But this wasnt my question haha im a former pro player and i already beated the entire story (4 maps) on my main, but i left the game long time ago and i came back right now. I made a fresh account to feel that nostalgia again and check what they changed around all the maps since i left. But i really dont want to waste time beating every npc because im using lvl 100 pokes after 4th gym, so i dont need the exp (neither the money tbh). So my question is, if im doing a speed walkthrough, which zones do i need to FULL CLEAR on the first time due to not being able to go there later? For example, i cant acess S.S.Anne after i clear it. Is there more places like this? Any rocket hideout, etc, that i cant enter later after i beated the story?

Hi there,

 

Sorry for getting it wrong the first time. I want to make it clear that even if you don't need to really full clear on the first time because most of the time, anything apart of the story can be repeated if you fail the first time. Of course there are areas that you won't be able to return to after the story, but they are areas that are solely used for the story. For example, from the top of my head, like you mentioned, the SS Anne, the Celadon Game Corner Basement, The Radio Tower, Magma and Aqua Hideouts, etc. These are areas that you can always repeat during the story if you fail them. Once you've passed them, you can't go back to them, because there isn't really much for you to go back to anyway. You'd lose very minimal things, or maybe even none.
