Hello, I was playing a pvp match today, and I came across a strange bug where my opponent's tyranitar was faster than possible. I had a sticky web down, and I have a timid 325 speed volcarona that I quiver danced once with (effectively bringing it up to 487 speed). My opponent swapped in a tyranitar, which can have at most 243 speed (even if he had choice scarf the sticky web would have brought him back down to 243 speed). After he outsped my volcarona, he then outsped my medicham who has 258 speed, and he switched his move (stone edge vs. volcarona, crunch vs medicham) so he couldn't have had a choice scarf.

I have no idea what might have caused the bug, I just wanted to bring this to the attention of the staff,in hopes that if other people report something similar they can figure out the cause.

My only theory is that he had Dragon Danced, Scarfed or a weird +Speed set. Did you use any negative priority moves? It might help Staff, I can't help you at all.

He didn't dragon dance at all, he wasn't scarf, and he didn't use any moves like tail wind or trick room that could have affected it. I thought quick claw wasn't coded, but if it is coded then I guess he could have just gotten lucky with quick claw twice in a row. Otherwise it's definitely a bug because he did nothing beforehand that could have affected the speed of my volcarona or his tyranitar.

Okay so it happened several more times since then against different people. The last guy had a machamp that outsped my nidoking and heracross while he had his speed lowered from sticky web, and he didn't even have a scarf because he was switching moves. At this point I'm convinced it's a bug, probably involving sticky web somehow having the opposite effect at times. Quick claw is a trash item and there's no way I'm running in to so many people using it, and it's activating that frequently when it's a 20% chancce.
