I was fighting professor elm on medium difficulty and was buffing my Buffing up as Typhlosion was doing minimal damage with its Eruption. However, upon maxing my Clefables stats, I attempt a moon blast, but Typhlosion CRITs me from full health, through the SpDef Buffs, with an Eruption.

Critical hits ignore stat boosts :)

 

252 SpA Typhlosion Eruption (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Clefable on a critical hit: 355-418 (90.1 - 106%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

 

Assuming Typhlosion isn't Modest and has no Choice Specs, still has a chance to kill in one hit.
