Not sure if this is the correct place to put this as I just joined this community yesterday, but I just evolved a Butterfree and it did not learn Gust upon evolution like in any other game. Do I just need to level it up more?

 

 

I just wanted to know if this is going to be fixed in the future if it is indeed a bug (no pun intended). I truly feel sorry for any poor smucks out there who wanted to use Butterfree early on right now... like me if they also are dealing with this.

 

(It also didn't learn Harden either when it was a Metapod)

And now my newly evolved Beedrill is dealing with the same issues. What the heck is going on?

The mechanic of learning moves upon evolution was just introduced with sun/moon if I am not mistaken and I think those are not implemented in PRO (not 100% sure on that though).

You are able to relearn those moves with the move relearner NPCs.

Another advice in general, you should evolve your pokemon as late as possible as they need more xp upon evolving unless you want to evolve them for the pokedex.
