To whom it may concern,

Earlier today, I made a trade agreement with another player to trade one of my pokemon to them. I then proceeded to travel to them across two regions and when arriving and being in the trade window, the person backed out and said that they didn't want to make the trade anymore. I now am several thousand poke dollars down from traveling and there isn't any repercussions to that other player.

I understand that there is a way to report players for this behavior, but that is tedious and time consuming to step away from the game and create an official report especially if you are playing on a mobile device. I have been a victim to fake trades (or cancelled trades) not once or twice, but too many times to count and I am not alone in this. I am sure that it happens way too much for a TMod to keep up with at times and I believe that I have a temporary solution to this problem

The auction house is "coming soon", and it is unclear when it will be released. When you click to accept a price of something in an auction house, it is final because you are agreeing to that price. What I am suggesting is when a trade agreement is be made, there would be a way to click on a pop up that both parties could click that they agree. The traveling then could commence and the trade could be completed. If one party does not want to follow through with that trade, they can then pay a fine to cancel it. This concept can also be used in the auction house. Add a posting fee to prevent an overabundance of pokemon in the trade/auction house so that people don't abuse the system and there is a trade off and possible reward for your posting. I very much would like to see a positive growth in the PRO community, but I feel that it is lacking and will continue to be this way until a good trading system can be established. Thank you for your time.

I kinda understand what you're saying, but if you traveled two regions and had agreed to a place and a deal, you can simply trade report the user. While it may sound time consuming, the trade will normally be enforced by a Trade Moderator and you will get the deal done anyway, even if the other person backed out. This also will probably make the other person think twice if he does it again.

I kinda suggest that in the future auction house there's a popup to doublecheck if you really want to bid or buy something before you put the money in it. It's similar to what you said, but instead of paying a fine and backing out (which will only damage the seller, mainly), it will make sure the buyer actually is invested into the sale.

Unless this auction house is the kind that you are inserting your pokemon or items into it and thus cannot use them while they are up for sale. Otherwise if you are still needing to meet up to make the exchange, which I feel would complicate things further because of time some changes and people not always logging in, then yes I see the relevance for a double check of sorts.
