So i beat the kanto elite four, and I want to go to johto, but is there anything I should do/get before I go there that would help me along my way?

Migrating to blue server ^^,

Make sure you get fly to unlock the subway, you can also go to sevii islands! (via vermillion). But you can't go back until after you've beat the 8 Johto badges, so take your time!
