Hello, it's 11 am pokeday and my riolu has 255 happiness, yet it ain't evolving when I rare candy it.

Am I missing something here ?

Try to relog and battle some mons to level up again instead of using rare candies, hope it helps!

Can you try relogging and use rc to level it up again then? If that doesn't work, then try to use any berry that lowers down the happiness and max your happiness again.

My apologies for the inconvenience. Could you try fainting your Riolu is order to decrease his happiness, restart your client and try again ? You'll always be able to use a mysterious candy if it reaches the maximum level without evolving, this item will let you evolve if you have the right requirement for the evolution even at level 100. Those are available in the department stores such as in Celadon, Lilycove, Goldenrod and Veilstone.
