I've tried using the automatic resend button and I've tried messaging admins on the support site.

There was indeed a problem in the system, but Shane already fixed it now.

same here, could it be that web.de mails are kinda banned due to being prone to misuse as a spam registration? I prefer to ask before I use my gmail for a 2nd registration attempt (and being awful uncreative in terms of coming up with another username I'd be satisfied with :D)
