We're unfortunately unable to reproduce the issue on our end, and the description of the error returned is the most... unhelpful possible ("Error: Operation Successful"). Furthermore, the location where it happens really shouldn't be causing errors, especially since it's the same structure and logic as the other Elite Four members. As such, we'd like to get a little more information.

 

Can you please answer these questions?

• When exactly does the error happen? It seems to be before the fight, but do you see any dialog before the message?
• Is this your first attempt at the Johto Pokemon League? If not, have you done anything special before this attempt?
• Is this error still happening today?

 

For information, you can still leave the area with an Escape Rope. Or if you don't have any, I think challenging another player to a friendly battle and losing also sends you back to the Pokemon Center?  But if the issue is still happening, we'll look into finding a way to let you continue through the game.
