Trying to do gengar quest in hard mode and it wont let me in the sealed chamber 

 

i have completed the quest in normal last year as i have the gengar stone 

 

Any help would be appreciated 

Could it be that you entered the Dark Realm again after you got the Gengarite and left it without defeating Umbra?

To enter the shrine you have to defeat Umbra in the Dark Realm so you might need to do that quest again. Also make sure to recruit all the pokemon during that quest as you will need them for the challenges in the shrine.

ahh yes this is probs what happened i remember redoing it last year for a clone when i got to the clone part it didnt give me anything so i just quit xd thanks for the info ill get cracking on this now.

any idea how to reset the quest? ive tried to battle horon and he doesnt want to battle and i went and beat alucard but he just sends me back to the pc once i beat him no darkrai battle.

You have to battle Alucard while having a pokemon with the move Miracle Eye in your party.
