I'm not specifically talking about Nidoran, this goes for all Pokemons that rely on their hidden abilities.

 

You might be unlucky then because there are many rare Pokemon with hidden abilities in the game which are epic.

This game suppose to be competitive and that is the reason why we wont increase the hidden ability chance.

Furthermore hidden ability is obtainable at wild anywhere compared to original one, and 5% is enough for common nidoran, you just have a bad luck on finding 1.

 

and idea about guru is rejected.

 

If you really want the hidden ability pokemon, you have to work on it. Just like how you get SR cards on gacha games or legendary weapon on other MMO. Never be an easy way (pay to win system exception).

it took me a week to find a decent hidden ability Goldeen. it doesnt take that long at all. nidoran isnt as common as magikarp or gastly though.

 

Those pokemon are also incredibly easy to counter.
