Implement phasing. The amount of people in an area makes it terribly cluttered and confusing, especially with story events.

 

Simple implementation. Take each individual area, group players into 25's or other numbers, with a system that iterates through phase group lists and consolidates groups. Phasing only needs to affect displayed chars. Groups, guilds, and such can keep specified players in specified groups in specified phases.

There are a number of suggestions and discussions about this already. They are similar in nature to what you are suggesting. It all falls under instancing or providing a hide other players option like in other browser based games.

needs controlled or needs to taper off. For instance less close by, more further out. I struggled to see initial event npcs and was off putting. Was not aware it was discussed or already in operation though, thanks for the info guys. Also thanks for not being pricks about it! Refreshing.
