Hello guys. At the moment there is Komala worldquest ongoing so I went Route 14 for a hunt. In my first position I have Alakazam with Trick and Thief. Ditto copied me and used either trick or thief and removed my item (Leftovers). I switched out to Breloom for false swipe and guess what... After the battle I noticed my toxic orb and leftovers were gone. Ditto on my pc doesn't have the orb. Also its not on my poke neither in my bag. I restarted the game but it's gone. What can I do? I thought it's not possible to lose items to wild pokes as it's only an in-battle sequence.

 

Edit: Ditto used trick on my Breloom and got my toxic orb. I used false swipe before it used trick. So it was 1 HP and got poisoned and faint.

If I understood correctly, the battle sequence went as follows:

• You lead Alakazam
• Ditto transforms into Alakazam and uses Trick/Thief to take Leftovers
• You switch to Breloom
• Ditto uses Trick to swap its Leftovers and your Breloom's Toxic Orb
• You use False Swipe on Ditto
• Toxic Orb activates causing Ditto to faint from poison damage

Is that an accurate summarization of what happened? If not, please correct me.

However, if the battle sequence did go as I said, then unfortunately we cannot compensate for your lost Toxic Orb. This is because that is how the move is supposed to work, not a bug or glitch.

For future reference, remember that if you catch the Pokémon that took your item, it will be holding it and you will be able to retrieve it.

 

You can obtain a new Toxic Orb as a reward from Bug Catching Contest, as a reward for defeating George boss, or by purchasing one from the PvP Coin Shop for 50 PvP Coins.
