L9boingo Posted April 17, 2022 Share Posted April 17, 2022 So, I was farming ATK and DEF EVs (Route 31) on my swinub and i didn't noticed when my item disappeared. I checked my backpack and I don't have it. I was killing Sentret, Nuzleaf, Shiftry, Sandshrew and sandslash , all of them had 4-6lvl and any of them can learn covet or thief on that low lvl. Norex Posted April 17, 2022 Share Posted April 17, 2022 Nuzleaf and Shiftry can have the ability Pickpocket which steals your item if you attack them with a contact move. It is intended to work that way so you have to be careful which pokemon you are battling in what way. As Norex stated above, both Shiftry and Nuzleaf have the Pickpocket ability, meaning they will steal your Pokemon's item when hit with a contact move. You can retrieve the item by catching the thief.
