Unknown hat missing

Hi there,

 

I found a lvl 16 Mankey on route 9 holding an item called "Unknown hat". I Clicked on it and it's not showing up anywhere in my inventory. I checked under all the categories and even searched for it by name. I saw a post saying that it would be under "Misc items", but it's not there either. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance

Hello @256. My apologies for the late response.

 

The item Unknown Hat is hidden from your inventory, making you unable to see it. It is a quest item for the Ash's Hat quest that begins in Viridian Forest only for players that selected Pikachu as their starter.

If you did not select Pikachu as your starter, you can ignore this item, as it will be of no use.
