I finished the kanto region and switched to johto, but even the pokemon in the pokecenter, including the team I use, are locked why / how can I unlock it?

When you start your journey on another region the previous regions pokemon gets locked for you.

Hello @Kapseww,

 

As mentioned by the other before: Your Pokemons from previous regions will be locked inside your PC till you finished the 8th Gym. Then they will be unlocked so you can use em for the E4. It will be like that whenever you enter a new Region. But you will be able to trade from the start.
