Though the dashboard states it will take up to 48 hours for the request to be processed, in reality, it can take up to a week. This is because name changes are handled by Game Masters, whose heavy workload draws their attention elsewhere. Staff members are also all volunteers who do this on our free time. Not to mention real-world responsibilities such as work, school, family, etc. All those factors in tandem can cause delays for name change requests.
Your name change will be processed soon enough, assuming you pass the criteria for one.

Please just have a little bit more patience.
