I saw that Trainers Valley requires Caught data of 120 kanto pokemon. Does that mean they need to be caught in kanto or just be a pokemon that apeares in kanto.

Like if i catch a magnemite in johto does it still count?

Hello,

 

The required Pokémon must be from the original 151 Kanto dex, regardless of where they’re caught. So yes, if you catch a Magnemite in Johto, it will count towards the 120 needed. Keep in mind they they must be 120 different Kanto species.
