We need a market system

I know that some people have suggested this before and I'm giving reasons why we really need one, first it seems that people only play pokemon to catch and sell pokemons to gather money, they don't care about having at least one of the pokemons. Jessie and James fight started today and the market is filled with the prizes nobody keeps the pokemons to themselves any more, second and the most important the way people sell pokemons, example for buying conversation

"hi"

"hi"

"how much for (pokemon)?"

"offer"

because he's too greedy he wants the max money he can get, and because buyers want to spend as much low price as they can

"xxk" which is often lower than the seller wants

" no sorry, price is too low" and he closes

"can you tell me how much do you wanted" and he closes again.

in MMO there is always a market and the seller is the one who set the price and it's up to buyers to buy or not, and that's in real life too. just imagine like in game you went to a market to buy an something and you ask for the price and the cashier tells you "offer me", you probably will leave the market .

that's how awful is the selling/buying way right now

glad to hear it. hoping it wont be a flooded mess like others i cant say its perfect but i've enjoyed the structure of the trading so far as long as you find out the average price you know what your looking for. and to pay.

Hi Kurushiimohamed, the staff have already confirmed that an auction house will be added. In fact it's apparently already ready to implement, they are only waiting for the server stability to be improved before it's put in the game.

Can confirm server stability is indeed the issue here, otherwise it would already have been implemented. The real question is when will servers be stable enough....answer....in the future.

Do not contact staff members for private support. Share the question on the forums due to being of use to others. Please use proper forum. Unsolicited messages will be trashed. Thanks.

Once said auction house is introduced, you will start to see the economy balance out, values will become known, and those values will then only fluctuate up and down based on player base and new items introduced down the road/items becoming legacy and no longer available through normal means. For example, its generally accepted what candies and membership go for, but for pokemon, people trust try to price gouge. Honesty in the current system people who set an auction in trade chat are doing things fairest for now.

One issue I find with this idea is that each Pokemon is different, i.e. Abilities, IV's, Nature, etc.

As much as the back and forth; "You make an offer," "how much do you want for it?", conversation is there is no true way to calculate value.

There are a few common price tags,

Common Pokemon go for 1k usually. Uncommon go for a bit more. Rare Pokemon like Dratini can sell for between 20k-50k depending on its IV's and nature. And a level 100 Pokemon with full EV and good IV's can go for 100k plus.

If a person is selling they should know how much they're selling for, unless they're auctioning the Pokemon. Buyers should also take notes of common price tags in the trade chat.
