Now regarding your question, it is indeed allowed. I will be quoting the rules:

@Gjintzot is a Gold player and the account he mentioned that would make the payment is a Silver account he owns. Therefore, it's allowed & mandatory in this case, otherwise he would have been breaking an Auction Rule.
