Nope, the only difference is EVs.

EVs get selected and boost certain stats depending on the Pokémon you beat.

pokemon usually have specific EVs they want, but it isn’t necessary to choose the recommended EVs, especially if you are a beginner or want to save money.

Take note that EVs are a separate stat from the normal ones, and can be added after getting to lvl 100.

Firstly, I'd like to thank @Flamme1230 for trying to help them.

 

Using Rare Candies to level up your Pokemon doesn't affect any of the stats, IVs or EVs. Whereas, like they said, gaining EXP by battling Pokemon, you will also gain some EVs on specific stats.
