Is this supposed to happen? I thought when the user dies switching in bc of entry hazards, the ability doesn't go into effect; but sun still got activated.

I tried looking up, but didn't find anything (yet)

Thank you for your report, and I apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with this interaction.
 

This interaction is indeed a bug, as abilities like Drought should not activate if the Pokémon faints upon switching in due to entry hazards.
I've forwarded this issue to our developers.

I take it back. Confirmed 3 times that Drizzle of Pelipper is not activating when Pelipper faints (due Stealth Rock) right after switching in.
