I think enough time has passed in game that we can review the ban on power-up punch and seismic toss on mega Kang. When those moves were originally banned, we did not have pokes like mega mawile, mega sableye, annihilape and Aegislash. All of these completely counter mega Kang. In addition to this, there are new moves like body press which will destroy this poke as well. I find it hard to believe that this poke is meta defining, when most teams are using mega lopunny, h.o. or stall, mega Kang doesn't seem to impact pvp as much as any of the above.

Also just to be clear, I think power up punch should 100% be unbanned. Seismic toss maybe needs some testing. On Smogon Power up punch isn't even the most optimal moveset.

I can get behind PuP maybe

but s toss is risky imo. I love me some mega kang, but s toss is not very balanced. Also mega mawile doesn’t do anything to stop it.

I calced the matchup for mega maw vs mega Kang... Play rough does 80%-93% DMG on perfect Kang. Fake out +body slam does around half. If Kang does fake out-> power up punch-> sucker punch that's the only way to kill maw. I think maw has kangs number 🙂

If you get it in clean yes, I would assume s toss would do what 70%+ to it? (i don't have calcs, just assuming)
